Diane Gannon

Diane Gannon moved to Savannah from Rochester, N.Y.  Even though she worked for Eastman Kodak for 34 years, photography was not in her blood until she traveled to Africa with her first camera – then she was hooked.  Her first focus with her camera was downtown Savannah, it’s beauty and charm drew her in and she spent many an early morning walking the squares looking for those golden hour shots.

An avid nature lover she now focuses her photography on wildlife – especially birds.  She finds bird photography especially challenging.  They move quickly from light into the shadows, they flit quickly through branches and just as you get them in focus – they fly away.  The experience of seeing their colors, and hearing their songs, make it all worthwhile.

Small birds lend themselves to small art so much of her work is printed on canvas and wrapped on small frames.
